PARALEGAL
Cindy is an immigration paralegal with the Jagan Law Firm, she joined the firm two years ago when the Schenectady, NY officially opened and has been a staple in that office since day one. Cindy has quickly become one of the senior paralegals with the firm due to her steadfast dedication to her work and ability to handle all assigned tasks efficiently and diligently.

Anecia Singh
LEGAL RECEPTIONIST
Anecia A. Singh is a legal receptionist with the Jagan Law Firm, and she works from Schenectady office strategically handling all firm incoming calls. Anecia is the very first voice you will hear when contacting the law firm and this position is no easy task, as she juggles multiple phone lines from three different office locations.

Devanie Sookra
LAW CLERK
Devanie is a law clerk with the Jagan Law Firm in the Queens office and is currently a law student. Devanie is deeply committed to helping immigrant families, advocating for children affected in divorce cases, and giving back to her community. Devanie happens to be one of the firms fist ever hirers when she began as a legal receptionist. Devanie worked for the firm in all different roles becoming the go to person for everything firm related including training new employees. We begrudgingly said farewell to Devanie as a full time employee when she left for law school to follow her dream. She has since returned during the summer to assist the firm as a law clerk.

Deshana Ramlall
LEGAL ASSISSTANT
Deshana is a legal assistant with the Jagan Law Firm in the Queens office. She is the newest member of the firm but has quickly grown and blossomed in this role which is arguably the most difficult as she is the first person any client will see upon entering the firms busiest and most seasoned office location. Deshana has been trained to assist with all aspects of the law firm inner mechanisms and has knowledge of just about everything.

Anastasia DeGoias (Stacy)
PARALEGAL
Anastasia or as she is affectionately called, Stacy, is a senior paralegal with the Jagan Law Firm working primarily out of the Queens office. Stacy joined the law firm when she was only nineteen (19) years old. Over the years Stacy has exhibited a strong work ethic and passion for immigration law. Stacy has the unique and unmatched ability to remember details about every client she encounters. Stacy joined the firm when the firm was expanding and she became an important part of that expansion, without Stacy’s steadfast commitment to the firm and ability to multitask while remaining calm and polite, the firm would not have been able to grow and expand to the degree it has.

Esha Latchman
LAW CLERK
Esha Latchman is a law clerk with the Jagan Law Firm in the Brooklyn and Queens offices and is currently a law student. Esha is deeply committed to advocating for undocumented immigrants and assisting them on their pathway to citizenship. Esha worked as a legal intern and was convinced by Mrs. Jagan to work with the firm in a full-time paralegal capacity before attending law school. Esha took a leap of faith and worked the firm before attending law school, which prepared Esha not only to be a law student but to be an advocate. Esha confidently entered law school after aiding the firm in becoming more efficient, technologically advanced and working hands on to assist many clients. Esha returned to the firm during the summer to work as a law clerk and continues to maintain a relationship with the firm throughout her time in school.

Francine DeFreitas
SUPERVISING PARALEGAL
Francine, also know as Fran, is the supervising paralegal with the Jagan Law Firm and she works out of the Brooklyn office. Francine has been with the firm for several years and is knowledgeable in all aspects the firm practice and helps to support all paralegals, while maintaining her own caseload. Francine originally worked in the Queens office, but was eager to assist in supervising the opening of our newest location in November of 2024 and is now in the Brooklyn office.
